About UsThis project started out as just a small moment when Alexandra Leverett realized that the bees had disappeared from Chicago. In her Hyde Park neighborhood, it seemed absurd that a place with such a high content of parks, plants, and trees would have such a low population of these little, yellow friends that are so important to our livelyhood.
A few years and a lot of research later, Alexandra had created a place for the most important and susceptible creatures in the Midwest, and arguably, in the world. This project is meant to be a blueprint for others to make their own Habitat for Vulnerable Creatures. |
